AMIE Eligibility Criteria – Qualification & Age Criteria

AMIE Eligibility Criteria: AMIE or Associate Member of the Institution of Engineers is the qualifying examination that helps in obtaining professional certification provided by the Institution of Engineers in India. This examination appears two times a year in June and December respectively. The aspirants who are interested in appearing in the examination need to qualify all the papers which are specified for this need. The examination is recognized by the Ministry of HRD or Human Resource Development as British Under Graduate Degree and Foreign Credential Service of SA Undergraduate degree respectively. For appearing in the examination, one has to be eligible for the test thus make sure for going through the complete eligibility criteria and seek abundant opportunities in your life.

AMIE Eligibility Criteria:

  • Qualification: If you have completed class 12th from a recognized institution and wanted to appear in the AIME  entrance examination then you can do so. The candidate must have completed class 12th in any of the disciplines. It is also crucial to remember that the minimum percentage required in higher secondary must be 45% marks altogether all the subjects.
  • Previous Experience: Those who have work experience as an engineer as a corporate person can apply for AIME if applying for Senior Technician Member. Candidate must have passed the diploma examination or some equivalent by some recognized institute via the council. This implies that if a candidate has completed a diploma in engineering then he/she can appear for this entrance test.
  • Age Criteria: Those who have completed 18 years of age are eligible to appear in the AIME examination. It is also important to remember that those who applied for senior technician members must have acquired 18 years of age then only one can think of appearing in AIME entrance test.
