EMAT 2023: Executive Management Aptitude Test (EMAT) is commenced by IIM Kozhikode (IIM-K) provides admission in two year Executive Post Graduate Programme in Management (EPGP) at the Kochi campus. The exam takes place every year for filtering the candidates for the EPGP programme offered at IIM-K. The scores attained in this examination will be considered valid for the same year and batch. If applicants clear the EMAT exam and fail to join the programme, need to appear for EMAT next year.

EMAT 2023 Application Form:

The application form is an important way out to apply for EMAT 2023. To apply, go to the official website of the Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode, and fill the form online. Here is the step-by-step process:

  • First, candidates need to register themselves by submitting the details such as Name, Email ID, Password, Mobile number, Program Name, and Verification Code (mentioned in Captcha).
  • Soon, an application number and password will be sent after the registration process will get over.
  • Now, start filling the application form by filling in the correct personal, qualification, and communication details.
  • Upload the recent passport-sized color photograph in jpeg format with a size between 100 KB and150 KB.
  • Make sure to take print of the application form and then submit the form.
  • In case, already registered, enter the Application number, email id, password verification code and get done with the complete procedure.

Application Fee:

Make a payment of application form Rs 2000 + GST 18% via Credit Card, Debit Card, or Internet Banking.

Eligibility Criteria:

Check the eligibility criteria before applying for EMAT 2023:

  • Applicant must be possessed with the degree of graduation or its equivalent in any discipline from some recognized university
  • Those who belong to General/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/ EWS/Women/SC/ST/PwD categories must have acquired at least 50% aggregate or equivalent CGPA in graduation.
  • Candidate must be possessed with the 3 years of managerial/ entrepreneurial/ professional experience after graduation (as on commencement date of the programme)
  • If there is an absence of a bachelor’s degree, then the applicant must have cleared 50% in CA/ICWA/CS.
  • Those who have obtained a degree from the foreign university may also apply by producing the equivalent certificate from the Association of Indian Universities or any Government of India approved assessment agency or an Indian University approved by UGC with the proof of aggregate percentage of marks acquired in the programme completed.

Exam Pattern:

Those who have applied successfully need to check the examination pattern of EMAT 2023. Here are the details about the same:

  • Candidate needs to complete paper in 1 hour
  • The Paper will have 40 objective type questions.
  • There will be 4 sections in the paper as Numerical, Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning, and Verbal skills.
  • The applicant will get 1 mark on every correct answer while there will be a deduction of 0.25 marks for every incorrect answer.

Admit Card:

Admit card or hall ticket is an important document to carry for verification. Those who appear without admit card will not be permitted to appear in the test.

  • This card will be sent at least a week prior to the date of examination. Go to the official website to take print of the admit card.
  • Enter the login details such as the Application Number and Password to download the same.
  • Hall Ticket/Admit card is to be preserved carefully as it has to be produced at the time of admission along with the Rank Card.

Steps to download Admit card:

  1. Go to the Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode’s official website.
  2. Now, click the link to download the hall ticket/admit card.
  3. Login using application number and password
  4. Once the admit card appears on the screen save it and take its copy.

Result:

To check the result of EMAT 2023, enter the Registration Number & Date of Birth. As soon as the details are submitted, candidates can check the exam result. Those who clear the test will appear for the counseling process.

Important Documents Required for Admission:

Carry the following documents for the counseling process:

  • A copy of the duly signed application form
  • One copy of the Online Application Fee Receipt
  • A passport size color photograph is attached to the application form.
  • Original CAT/GMAT /GRE scorecard if the admission is acquired via CAT/GMAT/GRE score.

The following documents should be in original along with one set of self-attested copies.

  • 10th /SSLC Certificate & Mark Sheet.
  • Pre-Degree/Plus-Two/AISSCE/HSC/VHSC Mark Sheet & Certificate.
  • All Mark Sheets & Certificate of Graduation or Professional Qualification.
  • Caste Certificate for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy layer)/PwD/PwBD.
  • Post-Graduation/Other Higher Qualification mark sheets & Certificates.
  • Original experience certificates.
  • Photo ID proof such as Passport/Driving License/PAN Card/AADHAR; Original & one- self-attested copy.
  • A copy of Gazette Notification, in case of change in the name.
