HP GNM 2023: Himachal Pradesh general nurse and midwifery course (HP GNM) is a state-level exam for taking admission in the nursing course all over Himachal Pradesh. It is conducted by the directorate of medical education and research, Himachal Pradesh. It is conducted once a year to admit eligible candidates to nursing colleges in Himachal. It is a three-year and six-year diploma course especially formulated for aspirants who want to pursue a career in clinical nursing. HP GMN entrance examination is mostly conducted in the month of October with the application form released in the month of August and the results are declared in the month of November.
HP GNM 2023 Application Form:
The interested candidates have to fill out the application form online through the official website http://www.hp.gov.in/hpdmer/. For the year2023 session, HP GNM exam application forms will be available from August 2023. All applicants have to pay an application fee. The application fee for all the general category candidates is 400rs and for all other reserved category candidates, it’s 200rs. Application fees are non-refundable. Candidates have to pay the application fee online through credit card, debit card, or net banking.
HP GNM 2023 Eligibility criteria:
Educational Qualifications: Candidates who have completed their class 12th or equivalent examination from a recognized board; English, PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) being compulsory subjects with at least 50% aggregate for general category candidates and 40% for the reserved category candidates are eligible to apply for the HP GNM entrance exam.
Age Criteria: The lower age limit decided by the official authorities for the candidates is 17 years at the time of admission and the upper age limit is 35 years at the time of admission. However, the upper age limit for the reserved category candidates is 40 years.

Exam Pattern:
The examination will have questions based on the concerned subjects and questions based on the general subjects with total marks being 85 marks, each question shall account for 0.50 marks and candidates who qualify for the first round will be called for the next round. Candidates will get 2 hours to complete the written examination.
Admit Card & Result:
HP GNM 2023 entrance exam will be held in October 2023 and the application form will release on August 2023. Candidates can download their admit card on September or October 2023 and the result for HP GNM exam will be declared somewhere around November 2023 and then the selected candidates will go for the counselling process.

Counselling Process:
Directorate of medical and education Himachal Pradesh will release the final merit list of candidates for HP GNM admission 2023 on the official website in November 2023. After the merit is out, the candidates who are selected in the examination have to go for the final step which is counselling of selected candidates. The list of documents required at the time of counselling is mentioned below:
