IITE Admission 2025: Indian Institute of Teachers Education is a Gujarat-based institution established to offer courses to aspiring students in Teachers Education. The institute provides research programmes in education as well as undergraduate and graduate courses. IITE offers three courses under undergraduate programs including two 4-year integrated programs. Similarly, it also offers four courses under postgraduate programs including three 3-year integrated programs. Under the research program, IITE offers Ph.D. in Education to candidates.

Every year, the application form is released, marking the beginning of IITE admission to undergraduate, graduate, and research programmes. For each programme, the institute specifies the requirements that applicants must meet in order to sit for the admission test.

IITE UG Admission 2025:

Through UG Admission, the Indian Institute of Teachers Education (IITE) provides B.Ed, BA-B.Ed, and B.Sc-B.Ed programmes. The BA-B.Ed & B.Sc-B.Ed programs are integrated courses with a 4-year duration while the duration of the B.Ed program is 2 years.

UG Eligibility Criteria:

  • Candidate seeking admission to the B.Ed program should have cleared graduation and/or post-graduation in Art, Science and Commerce with at least 50% of the total marks from university and graduate in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Maths/Science with at least 55% marks or equivalent from the recognized University.
  • Candidates seeking admission to the BA-B.Ed program candidates who have passed the 12th General/Science Stream Examination with 50 % marks including English.
  • For admission to the B.Sc-B.Ed program, The candidates who have passed HSC (Science Stream with A or B or AB Group) Examination with 50 % marks including English.

UG Selection Process:

For admission to the B.Ed, BA-B.Ed & B.Sc-B.Ed programs, and eligible candidates shall have to appear in the i3T – Integrated Test for Teacher Trainee conducted by the Indian Institute of Teacher Education (IITE) as per the schedule mentioned in the brochure. Admission will be given as per a merit list prepared based on marks of i3T.

IITE PG Admission 2025:

Indian Institute of Teachers Education (IITE) offers 4 programs through PG Admission. The four programs are M.Ed, B.Ed-M.Ed, MA-M.Ed, M.Sc-M.Ed. The M.Ed program is a 2-year program while others are 3-year integrated programs.

PG Eligibility Criteria:

  • For admission to the M.Ed & B.Ed-M.Ed program, the candidate must graduate in any of the subjects and B.Ed. from any UGC recognized University with at least 50% marks.
  • For admission to the MA-M.Ed program, candidate must have passed BA-B.Ed program from any UGC recognized University with at least 50% marks.
  • For admission to the M.Sc-M.Ed program, candidate must have passed B.Sc-B.Ed program from any UGC recognized University with at least 50% marks.

PG Selection Process:

For admission to any of the above PG programs, eligible candidates shall have to appear in i3T – Integrated Test for Teacher Trainee conducted by the Indian Institute of Teacher Education (IITE) as per the schedule mentioned in the brochure. Admission will be given as per the merit list prepared based on marks of i3T.

IITE PhD Admission 2025:

The Indian Institute of Teacher Education, Gandhinagar (IITE) invites aspiring students every year for junior research fellowships (JRF) leading to senior research fellowships (SRF) under its PhD programmes. The goal of this fellowship is to allow NET-GSLET-GSET-JRF qualified candidates to pursue advanced studies and research in the fields of education leading to a Ph.D. degree in education.

Duration: The Fellowship assistance will be normally for a period of three years and extendable up to four years. It shall be Junior Research Fellowship for the first 18 months of Ph.D. Scholars and Senior Research Fellowship for the next 18 months for Ph.D. Scholars. The fellowship assistance of INR 31,000/month will be given to students.

Ph.D. Eligibility Criteria:

The Fellowship shall be open for all PhD. Scholars of the University are subject to the following eligibility criteria:

  • The candidate must be admitted to full-time (Regular) PhD. Programmes at the University.
  • The candidate should not be receiving any grant or research assistance by whatever name called from any other source including UGC.
  • The candidate should not be engaged in any part-time or full-time employment of any nature during the entire tenure of Fellowship.
  • The candidate must be present full-time at the university during the period of the fellowship.
  • Candidates who are UGC-NET and/or GSLET/GSET qualified can apply for JRF/SRF.

PhD Selection Process:

Candidates seeking admission to the Ph.D. program shall have to appear in i3T – Integrated Test for Teacher Trainee conducted by the Indian Institute of Teacher Education (IITE) as per the schedule mentioned in the brochure. Admission will be given as per a merit list prepared based on marks of i3T.

Candidates who have previously passed the UGC NET or GSET are exempt from taking the institute’s Ph.D. admission test.

IITE Result/Merit List:

Indian Institute of Teachers Education releases the merit list/result after the successful conclusion of the entrance exam. Based on the result, selected candidates are called for the counselling round. The counseling round involves the document verification process. Candidates who are called for the counselling round are required to carry certain important documents with them like – previous academic marksheets, valid ID proof, caste certificate, and others.

Following the counseling round, the seat allotment list is released. Candidates have to report to the allotted college at the scheduled day and time.
