KSP Recruitment 2024 Job Profile:

Eligibility Criteria:

The candidates are required to fulfill certain eligibility criteria to apply for the KSP. The Karnataka police authorities set these required criteria for different job profiles. To apply for any of the jobs, the candidate must be an Indian citizen.

Requirements for Police Sub Inspector:

The candidates must be male and have permanent residency in Karnataka. Candidates must be adequate in both speaking and writing in the Kannada language.

Candidates must hold a three-year bachelor’s degree or equivalent in any discipline from a well-known university.

The age criteria for the general category candidates are a minimum of 21 years to 28 years, and for SC, ST, CAT, and OBC candidates are 21–30 years.

Requirements for a Police Constable:

Aspirants must have passed the 10th matriculation from an acknowledged board or institution.

Only men aged 18 to 25 years of age from the general category can apply. The age criteria for SC, ST, CAT, and OBC candidates is 18–27 years.

Requirements for Bandsmen and Special Reserve Police Constables:

Aspirants must have passed the 10th matriculation from a recognised board.

The age criteria for the general category candidates are a minimum of 19 years to 25 years, and for SC, ST, CAT, and OBC candidates are 19–27 years.

Requirements for a Civil Police Constable:

Candidates must have passed the 12th examination from a recognised board or its equivalent.

The age criteria for the general category candidates are a minimum of 19 years to 25 years, and for SC, ST, CAT, and OBC candidates are 19–27 years.

Exam Pattern:

The examination will be held offline. There will be two exam levels: prelims and mains. Both the prelims and main exams have a duration of 90 minutes.

The Prelims exam includes two papers with 200 questions for 200 marks. The prelim paper 1 has 50 descriptive-type questions in English and Kannada languages for 50 marks. Premix paper 2 has Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions for 150 marks.

The main exam is for 50 marks in English or Kannada. The descriptive paper included an essay and precise writing with sentence translation.

The selected candidates after the two exams can appear for a physical test. Then there will be a medical exam and an interview session.
