NSTSE 2024: The United Council aims at conducting the National Level Science Talent Search Examination or NSTSE for the students of classes 2 to 12. Students can start applying online via the official website ‘unifiedcouncil.com’. As soon as the registration gets over, the candidate will pay the fee using the online mode.

NSTSE 2024 Application Process:

The application process for NSTSE is online and offline mode. And the application fee can be submitted in various modes such as Net Banking/Credit Card/Debit Card/Demand Draft. The Registration process is of two types. Students can do it individually by registering online and paying via online mode.

The other way to apply for this prestigious exam is through schools. If you opt for this way, then collect the application form using online mode and pay the amount to the school. And after receiving the payment, the school will send the fees via Demand Draft (DD)

Steps to Apply:

Here is the step-by-step process to apply for NSTSE 2024:

  • First, go to the official website- www.unifiedcouncil.com
  • Go through the details and select the option for which the application needs to register.
  • After this, click on the respective link of registration.
  • Fill in all the details carefully in the form and then submit the duly filled form.
  • Once the registration is done, pay the requisite fee online.

Application Fees:

  • Transgender, Female, and Male of category OBC/General/PWD can make the payment online. The amount is ₹ 300
  • OBC/ST/General/SC/PWD category candidates of Transgender, Female, and Male can pay in the offline mode. The application fee is ₹ 150

All about NSTSE 2024 Exam:

  • This examination takes place in January every year most probably on dates such as the 22nd and 30th.
  • The test is for one hour to test the candidate’s analytical thinking ability.
  • Questions in the test consisted of objective-type questions with no negative marking.
  • The hall ticket for the applicants will release in the online mode. Exam result releases on March 31st every year.
  • The toppers will be rewarded a cash prize of Rs. 2, 00,000. Besides this, the top three students in every class will be given a Tablet PC, a Memento, and a Medal. And those seeking the ranks from 4 to 10 and 11 to 40 of each class will get a cash prize of Rs. 3000 and Rs. 1000 each respectively.
  • Next, the top 100 rankers will be awarded a Britannica Kids Online Subscription for Rs. 2500, a Medal, and a Certificate of Appreciation.
  • The list of awards doesn’t end here; the organization gives rewards to state toppers, the consolidation prizes.
  • The best part is, that all the participants will receive participation certificates.

Eligibility Criteria:

If you want to appear in the NSTSE 2024 exam then it is crucial to first check the eligibility criteria. Here are the details of the same:

  • Students studying in classes II to X are eligible to apply for the examination.
  • Students of classes XI and XII (PCB or PCM) may appear for NSTSE 2024 exam.
  • There is no examination for the PCMB group of 10+2.

Exam Pattern:

Here is the examination pattern of NSTSE 2024 given below:

  • The paper will be Objective Type
  • Each class has a different question paper
  • There will be no negative marking on paper
  • The exam time duration will be 60 minutes.
  • Students of classes 3-12 have to answer the section on Critical Thinking and other sections as well. The paper will be based on reasoning, strategic planning, and application, decision making, objective/subjective analysis, and logical and inductive reasoning. The syllabus of Mathematics and Science will be based on CBSE. However, it is well suitable for students studying in ICSE/ISC or any other State Board.

Marks Distribution:

  • Class 1: 40 questions (Mathematics 25 and General Science 15) for 40 marks
  • Class 2: 50 questions (Mathematics 25 and General Science 25) for 50 marks
  • 3 to 5: 60 questions (Mathematics 25, General Science 25, and Critical Thinking 05) for 60 marks
  • 6-10: 60 questions (Mathematics 25, Physics 10, Biology 10, Critical Thinking 05, and Chemistry 10) for 60 marks
  • 11-12 (PCM) – 60 questions (Mathematics 25, Physics 15, Chemistry 15, and Critical Thinking 05) for 60 marks
  • 11-12 (PCB) – 60 questions (Biology 25, Physics 15, Chemistry 15, and Critical Thinking 05) for 60 marks

Admit Card:

The admit card or hall ticket will be released online through the official website. To seek the admit card, applicants are required to enter the registration details and then download the hall ticket. Students are requested to carry their hall tickets to the exam center. Here are the steps to download the admit card:

  • First, visit the official link.
  • Now, enter the student’s reference number in the login window.
  • After this, click on the search button.
  • You will find the hall ticket on the screen.
  • Take the print of the hall ticket

Answer Key:

The Answer Key of NSTSE 2024 will be released by the Unified Council so that candidates can check their results.

NSTSE 2024 Result:

The examination result will release in the March month and students who have opted for the student’s Performance Report will receive the following information:

  • Answers that a candidate chooses for candidates
  • Correct answers to all questions
  • Marks acquired by the student in each subject
  • Subject-wise and on the whole rank at the national level
  • Average marks of students in all subjects
  • Highest marks in the group
  • Analysis of each question
