Odisha DET 2024: Students can apply for admission to several diploma courses at Odisha’s polytechnic colleges through the Odisha Diploma Admission Test. Diploma Engineering / Diploma Engineering (Lateral Entry) / Non-Engineering Diploma / Diploma in Film and Television will be the Diploma Courses in which colleges would give admissions. Odisha DET 2024 Application Form

Before filling out the application form, applicants should read the information brochure carefully. Candidates seeking admission to their desired courses through Odisha DET 2024 must fulfill the set eligibility criteria. Interested candidates can read out the following steps to fill out the application form:

• Click on the Application Form
• The form will appear on the screen of the candidates
• Candidates must fill in all the required details asked in the form.
• Once the information is filled in, candidates are required to upload all necessary documents including their scanned photograph and signature.
• Once the candidate is done with filling out the application form and uploading the documents, candidates can pay the application fee.
• Candidates will be able to submit the application form following the payment of the required fee.

Odisha DET 2024 Application Fee:

Applicants are required to pay a non-refundable application fee for applying for Odisha DET 2024

• The application fee for applicants in the General category is Rs. 150/-.
• The application fee for Scheduled Castes / Scheduled Tribes / PC / Women is Rs. 100/-.
• Furthermore, the application fee can be paid either online (Net Banking / Credit Card / ATM-cum-Debit Card) or offline (Credit Card / ATM-cum-Debit Card) (E-Challan at any nearest branch of Axis Bank).

Odisha DET 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must fulfill the eligibility criteria for Odisha DET 2024 failing which their candidature will be rejected. Below is the eligibility criteria for different courses offered through Odisha DET 2024 exam:

Diploma & Technology Courses:

• Candidates must have completed a 10th-grade examination from a recognized board.
• Age Requirement: Candidates must be 14 years old as of July 1, 2024.
• Candidates must receive a minimum of 35 percent in their qualifying exam and 30 percent in each subject.

Film & TV Courses:

• Candidates must have completed their 12th grade in science from a recognized board/ CBSE/ ICSE.
• Candidates must be between the ages of 14 and 28 as of June 1, 2024.
• For candidates in the SC/ST category, there will be a three-year age relaxation.
• Candidates must have received a minimum of 35% on their qualifying exam.

Lateral Entry Engineering & Technology Courses:

• Candidates must have completed 12th grade or its equivalent from the Odisha Council of HSE.
• The minimum age requirement will be 14 years old. There will be no age restriction.
• Candidates must achieve a score of 35 percent in their qualifying exam.
• Candidates must have completed their 12th grade with physics, chemistry, and mathematics.

Exam Pattern

Candidates seeking admission through Odisha DET 2024 should be aware of the latest exam pattern. The exam pattern for Odisha DET 2024 is as follows:

• There are 100 multiple-choice questions to answer in two and a half hours.
• Each accurate response will receive four marks, while each erroneous answer will result in a one-mark deduction.

Admit Card

Odisha Directorate of Technical Education and Training released the admit card for candidates who have successfully registered for the exam. Candidates can check the below steps to download their respective admit cards:

• Visit the official website of the conducting body.
• Click on the ‘Admit Card’ link
• The screen will appear where it will ask candidates to enter their application number and date of birth
• Upon entering the required details, candidates will be able to see their admit cards.
• Download and save the admit card.
• Take the printout of the admit card.
• Keep the admit card safe even after the conclusion of the exam.

Result & Counselling

The Authority will announce the DET Odisha 2024 rank once all documents have been verified. Candidates must use the online system to check their merit rank. Through web-based e-counseling, a merit list will be compiled based on the candidate’s performance in the qualifying exam.

• Following the announcement of the results, applicants will receive information about Odisha DET 2024 counseling through local media in the state.
• Based on their exam scores, qualifying candidates will be shortlisted for counseling.
• The shortlisted applicants’ documents will be verified as part of the counseling process.
• As a result, candidates whose names appear on the merit list must appear at the counseling session with their original documents for verification.
• Candidates will be assigned a seat in one of the participating colleges during the counseling round.
