SPSC Recruitment 2022SPSC Recruitment 2022: SPSC stands for the Sikkim Public Service Commission which is an integral part of the Indian Union from the year 1975. The Public Commission started functioning from the year 1982 with the appointment of Chairman and delegation of the staff from the State Government. The SPSC is located in Old Tourism Building, M. G Marg, Gangtok. Upon the decision by Union Public Service Commission, Gangtok has become the main Centre for conducting Union Public Service Commission Examinations for the posts under Group-‘C’ and Group-‘B’ posts. The aim of the SPSC is to promote all Gazetted Posts, discuss the disciplinary matters along with other matters entrusted by the State Government according to Sikkim Public Service Commission.

SPSC Recruitment 2022 Application Form:

Those who are interested to apply for SPSC recruitment 2022 need to apply for the examination. Steps to follow online method for collecting and filling application form:

  1. Go to the official website of SPSC
  2. Towards the left side of the homepage, there will be an ‘Apply online’ Tab. Click on this Tab
  3. Get yourself registered by entering a relevant email address and password.
  4. You will find an application form
  5. Fill all the essential information, educational, and personal correctly and aptly.
  6. Upload the documents to validate the information entered in the form.
  7. Upload the latest photograph and scanned signature in the format asked for.
  8. Make a payment of the application fee.
  9. Once all verified, click the ‘SUBMIT’ button.
  10. You will get the acknowledgment of the submitted application number. Make sure to keep safely the reference id.
  11. Save the submitted application form and keep print of the same for further use.
  12. Submit the filled application form along with the application fee.

Application Fee:

  • The application fee will be Rs 150.
  • Make application fee payment via online mode.
  • Submit the application form using any of the modes such as net banking/ credit card/ debit card.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Candidate must be a citizen of India.
  • Candidate must be possessed with the degree of graduation from some recognized university by the government of India.
  • Minimum age accepted to apply should be 21 years and maximum 35 years
  • Reserved category applicants will get age relaxation of 5 years and OBC for 3 years.
  • General category candidates will get chance of 4 attempts to apply for the examination, for SC/ST candidates ‘N’ number of times, and OBC category will get 7 attempts

Exam Pattern:

SPSC Recruitment 2022 will consist of Prelims, mains, and interview round.

Preliminary Exam:

  • Prelim Examination solves the purpose of qualifying only.
  • This Exam has two papers and both will be objective types.
  • 2 papers are for General Studies for 200 marks each and for the duration of 2 hours each.
  • There will be negative marking. The deduction of 1/3rd marks for selecting an incorrect answer.

Mains Examination:

  • The mains examination will consist of 3 papers for 200 marks.
  • All three papers in Mains are subjective and descriptive in nature
  • Paper -1 based on General Awareness, Paper 2 based on General Studies, and Paper 3 based on optional subject.
  • The marks acquired in mains will be calculated for the final list while preparing the rank of the candidates.
  • Marks attained in Mains and Interview rounds will be counted for final marks.

Interview Round:

  • Those who clear the mains round with marks more than the cut off will appear in the interview round
  • The interview round will be for 50 marks.
  • The interview round aims at judging the candidate’s aptitude and personality. There is a specific no time limit for the interview round.

Steps to download the admit card from the official website:

  1. First login the official website of SPSC
  2. Then enter the ‘Apply Online section.’
  3. In the following window, click on the right-hand tab showing ‘Download admit card/ call letter.’
  4. Choose the office, the admit card/call for interview letter
  5. Enter your correct registration number and date of birth.
  6. Admit card will appear on the screen.
  7. Download and take a print copy of the admit card.

Cut OFF:

SPSC will decide the cut off marks for each round of exams. Those who seek more than the cut off will proceed to the next round of exams. Those candidates who fall short of the cut off criteria shall not move to the subsequent rounds. The cut off marks will be displayed on the official website after the result declaration and answer keys.
