Tezpur University Admission 2023: Tezpur University is a well-reputed university that came into being in 1994. IT is situated in Assam and consisted of four different schools – School of Sciences, School of Management Sciences, School of Humanities and Social Sciences, and School of Engineering. Eligibility Criteria:

Those who want to attain admission in the desired course first need to check the Tezpur University Admission 2023 Eligibility Criteria mentioned below:

  • To apply in Integrated B.A. B.Ed. (English Major) and Integrated M.A. in English, the applicant must have completed XII with at least 60% aggregate.
  • If you are interested to apply for Integrated M.Com, the applicant must have attained 60% marks in class XII.
  • The admission in M. A. in Hindi is possible if the applicant has completed the graduation with Major/Honours in Hindi from a recognized University OR acquired the degree of graduation in Hindi as an elective subject with at least 50% of aggregate.
  • If you are interested to apply for M. A. in Social Work, the applicant must have done graduation in any discipline with at least 45% marks in Major
  • To acquire admission in M.A. in Sociology, the minimum qualification is graduation with at least 45% marks in Sociology major/honors or other subjects as major/honors. Those who have not taken major/honors must have acquired at least  50% marks in aggregate.
  • For the course such as Integrated B.Sc. B.Ed. (Chemistry Major) and Integrated B.Sc. B.Ed. (Mathematics Major), the minimum qualification is the completion of Class XII in Science with at least 60% aggregate.
  • If you want to seek admission in Integrated B.Sc. B.Ed. (Physics Major), Integrated M.Sc. in Chemistry, Integrated M.Sc. in Mathematics, Integrated M.Sc. in Physics, Integrated M.Sc. in Bioscience and Bioinformatics, the applicant must have completed class XII with at least 60% aggregate in subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Also, the applicant must have acquired the minimum passing marks in individual subjects as well as in English.
  • To acquire admission in M.A. in Cultural Studies, the candidate must be a graduate in any discipline with at least 50% aggregate in Major subject. But those who do not have major/honors must have attained at least an aggregate of 45%.
  • To do an M.A. in English, the candidate must be a graduate with a major/honours in English with 45% in aggregate. And if the candidate is without a major/honors then they must have acquired a minimum 50% aggregate and 50% aggregate in English.
  • To seek admission in M.A. in Linguistics and Language Technology, the minimum qualification of the candidate should be graduating with honors in Linguistics/ English or any allied subject with at least 45% marks or the applicant must have completed graduation with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.
  • If you are eager to apply for M.A. in Linguistics and Endangered Languages, the candidate must be a graduate in any discipline with at least 45% marks in Major and 50 % marks without a Major.
  • IF you want to apply for M.Sc. in Chemistry, then you must have completed graduation with major/honors in Chemistry with at least 45% marks and must have studied Physics and Mathematics as subsidiary subjects.
  • Sc. in Environmental Science demands, candidate’s degree of B.Sc. in Physical/Biological/Earth and Environmental Sciences as major/honors with at least 50% marks. On the contrary, if you have not achieved the graduation degree with major/honors then the minimum percentage should be 55% marks. Or the applicant must have done B.Sc. (Agri.) with a minimum 6.0 CGPA in 10 point scale or equivalent. Or else the graduation degree in Engineering /Medicine with at least 55 % marks or equivalent grade points.
  • To seek admission to M.Sc. in Mathematics course, the minimum qualification is graduation with at least 45 % marks major/honors, either in Mathematics or Statistics. Those who have completed with major/honors in Statistics must have Mathematics as a subsidiary course with completed with 50 percent marks at least.
  • To seek admission to the course M.Sc. in Physics, applicants need to have completed B.Sc. with at least 50 % marks in major/honors in Physics with Mathematics as the subsidiary subject. However, those who do not have major/honors must have archived at least 55% marks in aggregate and in Physics separately.
  • For seeking admission to M. Com, the candidate must have done B. Com. with at least 50% marks in major/honors.
  • On the contrary, if the candidate has not done with major/honors then must have attained at least 50% marks in aggregate along with 50% aggregate in Mathematics
  • To seek admission in M.Sc. in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology, the candidate must have completed graduation in Biological, Agricultural, Veterinary, Physical, Fishery Sciences, Pharmacy, Engineering/Technology, 4 years B.S. programme (Physician Assistant Course) or Medicine, MBBS or BDS with at least 55% marks in major/honors or aggregate. And those who have completed the qualifying exam before 2 years will not be considered eligible for admission to the course.

If you have checked the eligibility criteria to apply for the course you want to apply for, now you can look for applying. Here are the details about the same:

  • Start with the registration by visiting the official website tezuadmissions.com.
  • Now, click on the ‘New User Registration’ tab.
  • After this, fill in the details and click the ‘Register’ tab.
  • In the next step, you will fill the application form and for this, log in with the help of a registered email ID and password.
  • Fill in the information in the application form.
  • Preview the application form and then click the ‘Proceed to Pay’ tab to submit the application fee.
  • Submit the application fee via modes such as Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking.

Admit Card:

The admit card will be released through the official website of the university. After receiving the admit card, check the details mentioned in it. The candidate is required to carry the admit card to the exam center as it is a mandatory document for every applicant. The steps to download Admit Card are as follows:

  • And then, click on the Admit Card link.
  • Enter your registered email ID as well as your password.

Exam Pattern:

  • The exam will be commenced in the offline mode
  • The applicant will get 120 minutes to complete the test
  • The exam will be for 100 marks
  • 1 mark will be rewarded for every correct answer and a deduction of 0.25 marks for every incorrect answer

Tezpur University Admission 2023 Result:

There will be the release of the test result through the official website of Tezpur University. The result will be declared in PDF format. The result list is based on categories such as General, OBC-NCL, SC, ST, EWS, and PWD. The result has details such as the candidate’s Registration and roll number of the candidate, Name of the applicant, Application number, candidate’s category, gender, and rank achieved.

Counseling:

The counseling will take place after the result announcement. It will be commenced in the online mode. Those who have their names on the merit list will appear for counseling. They will secure their seat by submitting the fee for the first semester through State Bank Collect. Once the fee is paid, send an e-generated receipt to Tezpur University by email: [email protected].

The counseling also includes the document verification process and for this, they need to visit the campus with their original documents and submit the self-attested copies of their documents. The list of documents needed during counseling are as follows:

  • Passing certificate as well as mark sheet of Class X and XII (for UG courses)
  • Passing certificate and mark sheet of X/XII/Graduation degree (for PG courses)
  • For M.Sc in Molecular Biology Biotechnology Programme (MBBT), submit Permanent Residency Certificate (PRC) of anyone state situated in the Northeast.
  • Character certificate signed by the Head of the Institution
  • Reserved or PwD category applicants will provide the caste/disability certificate issued by the government.
  • OBC-NCL certificate
  • If waiting for the result, submit the certificate issued by the Head of the institution last attended
  • Sponsorship Certificate/NOC from the employer (for sponsored/employed candidates)
