Submit the application form via online mode using the official website of the University of Allahabad. Steps to complete the application form are as follows:

  2. Then, click on ‘Apply Online’ to fill the application form.
  3. Four options will appear on the screen:
    • Application Form
    • Downloading Information Brochure
    • Printing Application Form
    • Printing Challan
  1. Click on the Application Form option and the form will appear on the screen
  2. Fill in the following details in the application form:
    • Candidate’s Name
    • Parents details
    • Address and Phone Number
    • Academic Qualification
    • Course Details
    • Aadhar Card Number
    • Examination Center

Upload the following given documents in the prescribed form to complete the application process:

    • The scanned copy of the colored photograph in dimensions 3.5×4.5 cm
    • The scanned copy of the colored Signature in dimensions 3.5×4.5 cm(Uploaded in JPEG (*JPG) Format)
  1. Fill the details and upload the documents and click on the ‘Submit’ tab.
  2. You will receive an Application ID via email and SMS.
  3. Click on ‘Print Application Form’ and take a printout for future reference.

Application Fee:

After filling the application form, submit the application fee using online mode by visiting the official website of the University of Allahabad. Pay the amount using modes such as credit card, debit card, or net banking option.

Exam Syllabus:

  • UGAT: Questions will appear from subjects such as English/ Hindi, General ability & knowledge Science, Commerce and General Awareness.

Entrance test for admission to MA/M.Sc/M.Com/M.tech courses will be conducted at the given below centers:

Exam Pattern:

  • Each Test will have 150 multiple-choice questions.
  • PGAT Paper 1 will be commenced in online and offline mode. PGAT Paper 2 will take place in the online mode.
  • The candidate will receive 2 marks on every correct answer and there will be a deduction of 0.5 marks for every incorrect answer.
  • The First 50 questions are mandatory to perform. The paper will be comprised of questions from-

The candidate will be given 3 hours to complete the paper.

If the applicant chooses only 1 subject then they answer only 100 questions.

The reservation policy for admission based on the reservation category wise:

  • Scheduled Tribe (ST) – 7.5%
  • Scheduled Caste (SC) – 15%
  • Disability candidates – 3%
  • OBC – 27%
  • Sports Quota – 2%
  • NCC ‘B’ Certificate Holders – 5%

Exam Result:

The result of Allahabad University PGAT 2023 will be released on the fixed date. Candidates will avail the information about the result through the official website. Tie-Breaking: While making the list of the selected applicants, a tie between two or more candidates securing similar marks will be decided as follows:

  • Marks attained in the written test if total marks are same
  • The percentage marks acquired in the graduate examination if scores in the written test are the same.

Counselling Process:

  • The counseling session will start in the month of November. The official website provides the date and schedule of the specific session. After result declaration, applicants will reach the given venue on the allotted time/day/date.
  • The counseling will be commended for the students who are having their names in the merit list.
  • The merit will be determined on the basis of marks obtained in PGAT 2022 and the departmental additional test.
