CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship 2023 Eligibility Criteria:

The scholarship is based on the merit list from the result of the CBSE class X exam. Check the eligibility criteria below:

  • The single girl child must have attained a minimum of 60% or more marks in CBSE Class X Examination and are studying in Class XI & XII in School (affiliated with CBSE) whose tuition fee is a minimum of Rs. 1,500/- p.m.
  • In the next two years, the total increment in the tuition fee shall not be more than 10% of the tuition fee charged.
  • NRI applicants of the Board are also considered eligible for the award. The tuition fee for the NRIs should be Rs. 6,000/- per month.
  • The scholarship meant only for Indian Nationals only.
  • The girl child must continue her school studies in Class XI and XII in school.

Application Process:

Here is the process to apply for CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship:

  1. Visit the webpage of the scholarship
  2. Download the guidelines of the scholarship
  3. To seek a fresh application for your scholarship click on the option called SGC-X – Fresh Application
  4. For application renewal, click on the option called SGC-X – Renewal
  5. Enter roll number and date of birth
  6. Click on Proceed
  7. Click on Upload Documents to upload your documents
  8. Go to print the “Confirmation Page” option and generate the confirmation page.
  9. Keep the confirmation page for further reference.
  10. Those who have successfully applied and completed the application will generate the confirmation page.

Scheme Renewal:

  • The applicant must be possessed with the CBSE Single Girl Child Merit Scholarship last year.
  • The applicant must be a student of CBSE in class XI in the previous year and must have scored at least 50% or more marks in Class XI and sent to class XII.
  • The tuition fees for Class X should be Rs. 1,500/- per month during the Academic year.
  • In the next two years, the total enhancement of tuition fees shall not be more than 10% of the tuition fee.

Benefits of scholarship scheme: The scholarship cost monthly Rs 500/- and the scholarship awarded under this scheme will be paid for maximum of two years.

Duration for CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship Scheme:

Here are the rules for renewal and duration of the scholarship:-

  • The scholarship awarded renewed for one year
  • Renewal is also dependent on the promotion to the next class provided the scholar must have attained 50% or more marks in aggregate in the exam which determines her promotion to the next class.
  • The renewal/continuation of the scholarship, in cases where a scholar gives up the chosen course of study before its completion or if she changes the school or course of study shall be subject to prior approval of the Board. Good conduct and regularity in attendance are required for continuance of scholarship.
  • The final decision will be taken by the board.
  • The Scholarship canceled once shall not be renewed under any situation.

Selection Criteria:

Here is the selection procedure to apply for the recruitment:-

  • The student must have passed the class X exam from CBSE and acquired at least 60% or more marks.
  • The student Class XI & XII from CBSE affiliated Schools.
  • The girl student must be ONLY CHILD of their parents.
  • Original Affidavit duly attested by the First Class Judicial Magistrate/ SDM/Executive Magistrate/Notary as per prescribed format available on the Board’s website.
  • The undertaking should be attested by the School Principal from where the student is seeking class XI
  • The tuition fee should be at least Rs. 1,500/- per month in Class X and 10% enhancement for Class XI & XII.

  • Caste certificate
  • Proof of admission
  • Bank account details
  • Marksheet of class XI for renewal of the scholarship

  • Passport size photographs

  • Identification card for student Aadhar Card linked with the bank account
  • A copy of the bank passbook

An affidavit on rupees 50 stamp paper from the parents or girls duly assisted by the SDM or first class magistrate or Gazette officer not below the rank of tehsildar mentioning that she is the only child in the family
