JEE Main 2021JEE Main 2021: Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) from 2019 onwards and before 2019 this Examination was being conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). JEE Main is a national-level entrance test held 4 times a year. It offers admission to students primarily in engineering courses like B.E., B.Tech, and B.Arch. From JEE Main 2021-22 entrance exam, applicants get admission into NITs, CFTIs as well as other reputed engineering institutions. If any student is aspiring for the most prestigious engineering institute of India, IIT, then he/she would have to qualify JEE Main and then JEE Advanced.

JEE Main 2021 Notification:

  • 7th May 2021: Due to rising in COVID-19 Cases, the JEE Main 2021 April and May Sessions has been postponed by the National Testing Agency.
  • 4th May 2021: Due to rising in COVID-19 Cases, the JEE Main 2021 May Exam has been postponed by the National Testing Agency.
  • 18th April 2021: National Testing Agency (NTA) has been postponed the JEE Main 2021 April Session.
  • 25th March 2021: JEE Main 2021 Application Form has been released for April & May session on 25th March 2021.
  • 16th December 2020: The JEE Main 2021 Exam Dates have been announced. The Exam will be held four-time Exams in a year (February, March, April, May).

JEE Main 2021 Application Form:

It would be better for the candidates if they read the brochure beforehand to avoid any trouble in the future:

  • The application form will be made available only via online mode. There will be no provision to fill the application form via offline mode.
  • Application forms will be released near December 2020.
  • Candidates must keep a scanned copy of their recent passport size photograph as well as the signature in the given format.
  • The candidate must have the Adhaar Card number or the Aadhaar card enrollment number.
  • The fee for the application form will be accepted via online mode: credit card, debit card, or e-challan.

How to Apply for JEE Main 2021:

Candidates can follow the below steps for Apply the Application Form:

  • First, visit the official site i.e, https://jeemain.nta.nic.in
  • Then on the homepage, there will be a link for the Application Form.
  • Now proceed to the “Apply Online” option.
  • Enter all the basic details such as name, parent’s name, date of birth, qualification details, etc to register.
  • Then select 4 cities as per your preference
  • Now proceed to provide a valid/ working mail ID & phone number.
  • Upload passport size photograph & signature in JPG/ JPEG format. Photograph size must be between 10 KB -200 KB and the Signature size must be 4 KB -100 KB.
  • Now re-check all the given details in the application form.
  • Proceed to submit the application fee as per your course, preference & category.
  • Click on the “Go payment” option.
  • After submission of the fee, a confirmation page will be generated on your computer screen.
  • Take the printout of the confirmation page.

Steps to Correct Application Form:

  • Visit the official site of JEE Main.
  • Then log in with your application number and password.
  • Then the Application form will be displayed on the screen.
  • At the end of the page, a link with the Edit Application Form is displayed.
  • Then edit the Application Form.
  • Once you finish editing check and recheck all the details.
  • In the last submitted the Application Form.
  • Take a printout of JEE Main 2021 application form correction slip and keep it safe.

Eligibility Criteria:

The JEE Main 2021 Eligibility criteria are given in the below section:

  • The applicants born on or after 31st October 1995 are eligible to appear for JEE Main 2021 exam.
  • The candidate must have qualified for the senior secondary examination with the best 5 subjects, including Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
  • For B.E/B. Tech, the candidate should have passed the senior secondary examination with at least five subjects – Physics & Mathematics subjects as compulsory along with Biology, Chemistry, Biotechnology, or any other technical vocational as optional subjects.
  • For B.Arch, students must pass the senior secondary examination with Physics, Mathematics & Chemistry as compulsory subjects.
  • For B.Plan, the candidate should have passed the 12th level with Mathematics as a compulsory subject.
  • Though there is no provision for minimum marks obtained, the candidate must have scored at least the passing marks.

JEE 2021 Exam Pattern:

There are minor differences in the JEE Main paper 1 and paper 2.

  • Common rule: 4 marks will be granted to the candidate for the correct answer, but any wrong answer will lead to a deduction of 1 mark.

JEE Main paper 1 (for B.E., B.Tech):

  • The Mode of the exam will be online mode.
  • There will be a total of 90 questions, 30 questions each from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
  • The paper will be for 3 hours.
  • It will be an objective-type question paper.
  • Students can give the paper either via offline mode or online mode.

JEE Mains Syllabus 2021:

  • JEE Main will contain two papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2, respectively, but the syllabus for both the papers is different. For JEE Main paper-1, the student must be thorough with concepts of Physics, Chemistry as well as Mathematics as per the 11th and 12th standard syllabus of recognized boards like CBSE, ICSE, and others

Admit Card:

The JEE Mains 2021 Admit Card has been released on 11th March 2021 for the March session. The admission ticket will be issued only through online mode. It will contain all the necessary information like exam schedule, center details, instruction, roll number, and so on.

  • The JEE Main answer key formate will be Images of OMR sheets. Candidates can challenge the authority if they are not satisfied his/her result
  • Candidates can pay 1000/ rupees per question to challenge the answer key. The payment mode will be online through Netbanking, Debit, and Credit Card.

JEE 2021 Result:

The JEE Main 2021 Result has been announced for February Session on 8th March 2021. According to this result, the eligibility for appearing in JEE Advanced will be decided and All India Rank (AIR) will be taken into consideration for admission to IITs, NITs, IIITs, CFTIs, SFTIs, and others.
