MGCU  2023 Application Form:

To seek admission in any of the desired course available in Mahatma Gandhi Central University, you need to apply using the application form. The application process is an online procedure. Here are the steps to apply:

  1. First, go to mgcub.ac.in.
  2. Now, click on the “Student section” button available on the menu bar.
  3. Choose the “Admission 2023” option from the drop-down menu.
  4. You will find an admission page.
  5. Click on the blue “Apply Online” button available on top of the page.
  6. After this, click on the “sign up” option to open the registration form.
  7. Fill in the details in the Registration form such as a valid active mobile number, email ID etc and submit the form.
  8. The username and password will be generated.
  9. Once the Registration gets over, start filling the application form by logging on the username as well as password
  10. Go to mgcub.ac.in. and click on “Student Section” button
  11. Here, choose “Admission 2023” option and click on ‘Apply Online’ button.
  12. Log in using the username and password.
  13. Now, fill the application form with accurate information and upload the passport size photograph and select the courses for admission.
  14. Take a Preview of the application and submit it along with the application fee.

Note: An applicant can apply for as many as four courses while filling the MGCU 2022 application form.

You can pay the application fee using online modes such as credit/debit card, net banking, UPI with taxes. The application fee for different categories is mentioned below:

Under Graduate Admission Eligibility:

The MGCU offers admission in to several UG level courses in the disciplines such as Commerce, journalism and Mass Communication, Library and Information Sciences, and Computer Science and Engineering. Check the course-wise eligibility criteria below:

  • B.Com.(honours) – candidate must have completed 10+2 with Accounting/Business Maths as one of the subjects from the government recognized Board with a minimum 55% aggregate.
  • B.Tech (Computer Science and Engineering) – Applicant must have cleared class XII with Physics and Mathematics as mandatory subjects with any 1 of the subjects (Chem./ Biotech/ Bio./ Technical Vocational) with at least 50% (45% for reserved categories)
  • Bachelor of Library and Information Science – To apply for this course, the candidate must have completed graduation from some govt. recognized University with at least 50% marks whereas 45% for reserved category applicants.
  • B.A. Journalism and Mass Communication – The minimum qualification is class 12th with minimum 50% marks and 45% for reserved category applicants.

Post Graduate Admission Eligibility:

The MGCU proffers admission in several postgraduate (PG) courses. The eligibility conditions for the courses under this category are as follows:

  • M.Com.: Candidate must have done B.Com (H)/B.Com/B.B.A. in (10+2+3) pattern with at least 55% marks
  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) – To apply for this course, the candidate must have done graduation from the recognized Indian or foreign university (as per AIU list) with at least 55% and 50% for reserved category applicants.
  • M.Tech. (Comp. Sci and Engineering) – The course requires B.E./B.Tech./B.Sc. (Engg.) in the subjects Comp. Sci./Comp. Sci. & Engineering / Comp. Sci. & Technology/InfoTech./MCA/M.Sc.(CS/IT) with at least 50% (45% for reserved categories)
  • Master in Library and Info. Sci.: This course requires a degree of B.L.I.Sc with minimum 50% marks and 45% for reserved category
  • M.A. Journalism and Mass Comm.- To apply for this course, the candidate must be a graduate with at least 50% marks and 45% for reserved category candidates.
  • M.A. in Education – The minimum qualification should be graduation with at least 50% marks and 45% for reserved category candidates.
  • M.A. in English – Candidate must have completed B A (Hons./Pass) in English or Bachelor’s Degree of 3 years with English as a subject with minimum50% (45% for reserved categories)
  • M.A. in Hindi – Applicant must have done B A (Hons./Pass) in Hindi or Bachelor’s Degree of 3 years with Hindi as a subject with at least 50% (45% for reserved categories)
  • M.A. in Sanskrit – To apply for this course, the candidate must have completed B.A. (H) Sanskrit / B.A. (Pass) Sanskrit / Acharya / Shastri or Graduation with dialectical efficiency & competence in Sanskrit Language and Lit. with at least 50% and 45% for reserved category candidates.
  • M.Sc. in Biotechnology – To apply for this course, the candidate must have done graduation in Physical, Biological, Agricultural, Veterinary, Fishery Sciences, Pharmacy, Engineering/Tech. or 4 years B.S. programme (Physician Assistant Course) or Medicine, MBBS or BDS with min. 50% (45% for reserved categories)
  • M.Sc. in Botany – The minimum qualification is graduation in Botany/Plant/Life/Biological or Agriculture Science with Botany as a major subject for at least 1 year or 2 sem with at least 50% (45% for reserved categories)
  • M.Sc. in Zoology – Candidate must be possessed with the Bachelor’s degree in Zoology/Life Sci./Animal Sci./Biomedical Sci./Biological Sci./Biochem./Biotech./Microbiology/Environmental Bio./Genetics with at least 50% (45% for reserved categories)
  • M.Sc. in Chemistry – To apply for this course, candidate must have completed B.Sc. (H) in Chem. or Bachelor’s degree of 3 years with Chem. as a subject till 3rd year with min. 50% (45% for reserved categories)
  • M.A. in Gandhian and Peace Studies – For this course, the minimum qualification is graduation with at least 50% marks and 45% for reserved category candidates.
  • M.A. in Political Science – Candidate must have done graduation with minimum 50% marks and 45% for reserved category candidates.
  • M.A. in Public Administration – This course requires graduation with at least 50% marks and 45% for reserved category applicants.
