Eligibility Criteria:
- Age criteria for seeking admission to a nursery, KG and Class I-
- To apply for admission in Nursery, the candidate’s age must be 3 years as on 31st March 2022 (candidate must have born between 1st April 2017 and 31st March 2018).
- To apply for admission in KG, the candidate must have completed 4 years as on 31st March 2022 (Candidate must have born between 1st April 2016 and 31st March 2017).
- To apply for admission in Class I, Child must have completed the age 5 years as on 31st March 2022(candidates must be born between 1st April 2015 and 31st March 2016).
- There will be an age relaxation of 30 days in maximum and minimum age will be provided.
- Age relaxation will also be provided to specially-abled children according to the guidelines of the conducting authority.
Selection Process:
Following is the simple admission and selection process:
- Application procedure: Fill the application form using an online or offline mode.
- The draw of lots: Candidate will be selected randomly from a big lot of applications.
- Document Verification: This will be done during admission time.
Important to Note: If there are vacant seats, then the second draw will also commence. In case, if the number of candidates is less or equal to the number of vacant seats in the schools, then there will be no draw and admission will be provided to all candidates.
Seat Reservation Criteria:
There will be a seat reservation system on the basis of caste and category. Given below is all about seat reservation in all the Sarvodaya Vidyalayas-
- Scheduled Caste (SC) candidates will get seat reservation of 15%
- Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates
- Scheduled Caste (SC) candidates will 7.5%
- Physically Handicapped (PH) candidates will get seat reservation of 3%
- Wards of employees of Delhi Directorate of Education will receive 2%
Documents needed during admission:
Guardians of the selected candidates need to carry below-mentioned documents in original along with the attested copies of each on the day of admission. Detail or proof of date of birth that can be any of the following-
- Date of Birth certificate in original issued by Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) or any other body.
- Hospital or Auxillary Nurse and Midwife (ANM) register record.
- Anganwadi record
- An undertaking by the parents connected to Date of Birth according to Part-B of the Application form
- School leaving certificate from last attended school and this will be applicable for classes KG and I
For Resident proof, you may carry the following documents:
- Domicile certificate of child or parents.
- Ration card issued in the name of the parents with the name of the candidate.
- Aadhar Card of child/ parents
- Voter ID card of any of the parents.
- Passport in the name of the child or parents.
- Electricity Bill/ Water Bill/ MTNL Telephone Bill
- Bank Passbook in the name of parent or child.
- A latest passport size photograph of the child.
