How to Apply UGC NET 2023:

  • All the aspirants need to apply online on the official website i.e. www.cbsenet.nic.in
  • Then Register yourself as a new user.
  • Fill in all the required details in the prescribed format.
  • Now generate login & password.
  • Then Upload Scanned Images of the Photograph (10-200 kb) and Signature (4-30 kb).
  • After that pay the application fee.
  • At last Download the Confirmation Page.
  • Candidates must note that after applying successfully online, they have to take a printout of the same. Keep at least 3 to 4 copies of it.

Application Fees:

  • All the aspirants have to deposit the examination fee at any branch of an Indian bank across the country. Here is the detail of the application fee as per the category:
  • For the General Category student’s fee will be Rs.1150.
  • For the OBC/NCL category students, the fee will be Rs.600.
  • For the other categories, like – SC/ST/PH/VH, the fee will be Rs.325.

NET Exam 2023 Eligibility Criteria:

Nationality:

All the aspirants applying for CBSE UGC NET 2023 must-have permanent Indian citizenship.

Age Limit:

The minimum limit for age prescribed by the exam authorities is 28 years. Relaxation on this point can be accessed by the candidates belonging to different categories other than General. There is no maximum age limit is prescribed for Lectureship.

Educational Qualification:

  • Candidates who have completed the 4-year BS program or having a B.E/B.Tech/B.Pharma/ or Integrated BS-MS/MBBS/B.Sc. (Hons)/M.Sc. or equivalent degree/B.Sc. (Hons) or any equivalent degree can apply for the exam.
  • Aspirants who want to get enrolled in the integrated MS-PhD program must have 55% marks. 55 % of marks are the criteria set for the General and OBC-NCL aspirants. It is 50% for the other categories like – SC/ST, Physically and Visually handicapped).
  • Aspirants who want to get enroll for M.Sc. or have just completed 10+2+3 years of any of the mentioned qualifying examinations will also be eligible to appear for the entrance exam under the Result Awaited (RA) category. To avail of the fellowship, candidates will have to complete the qualifying degree with the required percentage of marks within the validity period of two years.
  • Candidates holding a Bachelor’s degree, in the discipline of Engineering, Science, or any other, will be eligible to avail of the CBSE fellowship only after the enrollment for a Ph.D./Integrated Ph.D. program within the given validity of two years.

UGC NET 2023 Exam Pattern:

NET 2023 Exam Pattern is given below in details:

  • The UGC NET 2023 Exam will be conducted by Online mode (CBT).
  • There will be 2 papers in the exam i.e, Paper-I & Paper-II.
  • There will be a total of 150 questions in the exam. 100 from Paper-I & 50 from Paper-II.
  • All questions will be based on MCQ format (multiple choice questions).
  • The duration for Paper-I will be 1 hour & paper-II will be 2 hours.
  • The Exam medium will be both English & Hindi.
  • For every correct answer, +2 mark will be given.
  • There will be no provision of negative marking for the wrong answer.

NET Exam Syllabus:

There is two paper for NTA UGC NET that is Paper 1st & Paper 2nd. Candidates can check through the online UGC NET Syllabus for both papers:

Paper I: The UGC NET 2023 Paper I Syllabus will be common for every candidate. The syllabus topics will be related to Comprehension, Reasoning Ability, Divergent & General Awareness.

Paper-II: The UGC NET 2023 Paper II Syllabus will depend on candidates who choose the subject. the paper 2nd syllabus will be related to bachelor’s and Masters’s level subjects.

NET Exam Admit Card:

All the aspirants of UGC NET 2023 can download they have admitted cards from the official website i.e. www.cbsenet.nic.in. All the candidates have to enter their credentials, like – Application form number and the date of birth as per the certificates. There will be no provision of sending a hard copy of the admit card. All the candidates should carry Admit Card to the examination center, an entry can be debarred without it. Check for all the details and contact the examination cell if find any discrepancies.

Steps to Download the UGC NET Admit Card:

  • Visit the Official Website i.e, https://ugcnet.nta.nic.in
  • On the homepage, the Admit Card link will be available.
  • Click on the ‘Download Admit Card For UGC NET June 2023
  • Then a login page will open and fill the details & click on the ‘Submit’ button
  • The Admit card will display on the screen & download it
  • Take the print out of the Admit card.

Answer Key:

The UGC NET 2023 Answer key has been released on November 2023. Candidates can download the Answer key through online mode. The Answer key will be released for both Papers I and II. If the candidates are not satisfied with the answer key they can challenge the Anser key.

  • Visit the official website of NTA i.e, https://nta.ac.in/
  • On the homepage check the latest section.
  • Then check the Answer Key of UGC NET 2023.
  • Now, click on the answer key & download it.
  • Take out the print out of the answer key for future reference.

UGC NET 2023 Result:

The UGC NET Exam Result will announce in December 2023 for June Session and the NET December session result will be released the second week of January 2021. Candidates can check their UGC NET result through online mode by submitting their roll number and date of birth. The candidates who will qualify the exam by securing the cut off marks will be called for the counseling process.
