GPAT 2023GPAT 2023: GPAT 2023 will be carried out by the National Testing Agency. The Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) is a national-level entrance exam that begins each year to offer admission into M.Pharm. programs. AICTE-approved institutions and universities and all affiliated colleges accept GPAT scores to give admission to eligible candidates. Those who pass the entrance exam will be eligible to apply for one of the 24000 M.Pharm seats available at participating pharmacy schools. Overall, there are 841 institutions. From the year 2023, the responsibility of initiating the entrance test has been given to NTA. The article aims to provide you with complete information about the GPAT examination. GPAT 2023 Application Form:

Follow the steps given below to Apply Online:

  • Register for Online Registration using your own Email Id and Mobile No.and note down system generated Application Number.
  • Complete the Online Application Form and note down the system generated application Number. Upload legible scanned images of
    • (i) a recent photograph (file size 10Kb – 200Kb) either in color or black & white with 80% face (without mask) visible including ears against white background;
    • (ii) candidate‟s signature
      (file size: 4kb – 30kb)
    • (iii) PwD certificate (file size: 50kb to 300kb), if applicable.
  • Pay the fee using Canara/ICICI Bank through Net Banking/Debit Card/Credit Card/UPI and keep proof of fee paid.
  • Download, save, and print a copy of the Confirmation Page of the Application Form (which would be downloadable only after the successful remittance of the fee) for future reference.

The Application fee details are mentioned below:

  • For General UR candidates: Rs.2200 (Boys) & Rs. 1100/- (Girls)
  • For General EWS/ ST/ Sc/ PwD/ OBC (NCL) candidates: Rs.1100 (Boys) & Rs. 1100/- (Girls)
  • For Transgender: Rs.1100.
  • Candidates can pay the amount via online mode using a debit or credit card, Canara, ICICI Bank, Paytm, UPI wallet,  or net banking method.

Steps to apply for GPAT 2023:

  • Visit the official website of GPAT 2023.
  • On the home page & click on “New user link”
  • Then click on the “declaration” option.
  • After that click on the “Self-registration” form.
  • Enter basic & asked details in the registration form.
  • The candidate will receive 6 digit password in the registered mail ID & phone number.
  • Candidates must upload scanned images of photographs & signatures in JPG/ JPEG format.
  • After uploading images, candidates must proceed to submit the application fee.
  • Once the fee will be submitted, choose the exam city as per your preference.
  • After verification, click on the submit option.
  • Now confirmation page will appear on your computer screen.
  • Take the printout of your confirmation page & keep it safe for future reference.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • The candidate must be a citizen of India.
  • There is no upper or lower age limit prescribed to apply.
  • Those who have completed their graduation in Pharmacy of four years after 10+2 level may apply for the examination.
  • Those who are in their final year of the qualifying exam can also apply for the exam.

For PWD Candidates:

  • Candidate who is dumb/visually impaired/ physically handicapped/ hearing impaired can also apply for the exam.
  • The candidate should have at least 40% of disability as agreed by the recognized medical committee.

Eligibility for Scribe/Reader:

  • The candidate must not have completed 19 years of age as of  January 2023.
  • Candidate should not be a friend or family member.
  • The candidate should not involve in teaching in any of the academic tutoring or preparation for the test.
  • The candidate’s academic qualification must be less than that of the candidate.

Note: Scribe must display the age certificate at the exam center. The scribe will not be allowed to assist the candidate in case the above criterion is not followed.

Exam Pattern:

  • The exam will be organized via CBT.
  • The question paper comprises 125 questions overall.
  • The candidate needs to complete the paper within 3 hours of time duration.
  • The exam consisted of 500 marks.
  • The medium of language will be English.
  • The candidate will get 4 marks for every correct answer and there will be a deduction of 1 mark for every incorrect answer.

Admit Card:

As soon as the application process gets over, registered candidates will catch the GPAT 2023 Admit Card via online mode. Download the admit card by using the date of birth and registration number. Collect admit card in January. This card comprises the details like roll number, exam venue, exam center address, candidate’s name, exam date and time, instructions for the exam day, etc. In addition to carrying admit card, also carry valid photo ID proof for identity verification.

Steps to Download GPAT 2023 Admit Card:

  • First, visit the Official website of GPAT.
  • On the homepage, click on Download Admit Card.
  • A login page will open.
  • Enter Application No, DOB, Entry Security Pin, and then click on SUBMIT.
  • Download it & take a print copy of it for further references.

Answer Key details:

The answer will be released after the entrance test gets over. Download the answer key via online mode by entering the registered email address and password. After downloading the answer key, students can cross-check the attempted answers with the answer key. Students can calculate the scores and know the qualifying status in the examination. In case of error arises, candidates can also challenge the answer key before last the date.

Result:

GPAT Exam Result will also be provided via online mode. Check the result by using the Email address and password. After the result declaration, the merit list will be created of the qualified candidates.

Scorecard:

The scorecard comprises details such as registration number, roll number, name of the student, category, marks obtained, date of birth, and qualifying status of the candidate. It is valid for the duration of three years for seeking admission into postgraduate courses.

GPAT Merit List:

The exam conducting authority will prepare the GPAT and merit list based on scores and rank attained by the candidates in the entrance exam. The board will prepare and publish the merit list which will mention the rank, score, roll number, qualifying status, and other details of the candidate. It will be released in February in online mode. If two or more than two candidates are attaining equal marks in the exam.

Counseling:

Candidates will be chosen on the merit list considered for participating in the GPAT Counselling process. During the time of counseling, students need to carry crucial documents to the allotted counseling venue for the verification process. The necessary documents are as follows:

  • Graduation mark sheet
  • Class 10th and Class 12th Mark sheet and Pass certificate
  • Migration certificates
  • GPAT scorecard
  • Provisional certificate
  • Any government ID proof like voter ID card, Aadhar card, PAN Card, etc.
