NTSE Uttar Pradesh 2023: NTSE Uttar Pradesh is an exam commenced every year for students studying in class X in UP. It is the responsibility of the Exam Regulatory Authority, Uttar Pradesh to release the NTSE application form online in November so that eligible students can apply. NTSE Stage 1 exam will be in January and the result will be announced in February. Candidates can check the merit list to know their selection. NCERT takes initiative for the Stage 2 exam. The shortlisted candidates will be given scholarships.

NTSE Uttar Pradesh 2023 Application Form:

The exam conducting authority will provide registration forms in the online and offline mode both via exam centers. Fill out the NTSE UP application form with complete information and attach the documents asked for. Then submit the duly filled form and documents before the last date.

Steps to Apply: Here is the step-by-step process to apply for NTSE Uttar Pradesh 2023:

  • First, collect the application form from the respective examination center or download NTSE UP application form and seek the printout.
  • Fill out the application form with the correct details and paste a passport-size photograph at a specified place.
  • Now, attach the documents such as the caste certificate (SC/ST/PH)
  • Submit the examination fee via bank and attach this bank pay slip along with the form.
  • Now, submit the application form to the respective exam centers.

Application Fee:

Pay the application fee of Rs. 50/- for the general category, and Rs. 30/- for reserved category applicants. It is compulsory to pay the application fee.

NTSE Uttar Pradesh 2023 Eligibility Criteria:

Here is the eligibility condition to apply for NTSE Uttar Pradesh 2023. Check the details below:

  • Students must have completed class IX with at least 55% marks in aggregate and SC/ST category applicants must have attained at least 44% marks in class IX.
  • Students must be studying in class X in the UP school.
  • Open or distance learning students may also apply for the exam.
  • The minimum age to apply should be 18 years
  • Students should be unemployed.

Exam Pattern (Stage 1 and 2)

NCERT designed the exam pattern for both stages. Students are suggested to check the exam pattern given below:

  • The paper will consist of 200 questions and each question carries 1 mark.
  • The candidate will get 240 minutes to complete the paper.
  • 1 mark will be awarded for every correct answer.

Exam Syllabus:

The students applying for NTSE Uttar Pradesh 2023 must be aware of the exam syllabus. The questions are based on class 9th and 10th syllabus of UP board and CBSE curriculum.

MAT: This section consists of topics from verbal and non-verbal reasoning. Questions will be asked from Analogy, Series, Classification, Water images, and embedded figures.

SAT: This section consisted of the syllabus of class 9th and 10th subjects such as Science, Maths, and Social Science.

Admit Card:

The admit card for the stage 1 exam will be in the offline mode and students need to collect the admit card from the Chief Superintendent of the examination center. Students can collect the admit card from the respective exam center. Make sure to carry the admit card to the exam center as entry without it is not allowed.

Answer Key:

There will be the release of the Answer Key on the stipulated date. Through Answer Key, students will get an idea of the marks they are likely to attain. This way, they have an estimated idea of the marks. Matching the scores with the cut-off marks will increase the chances of selection in stage 2.

Reservation:

  • Scheduled Caste: 15%
  • Scheduled Tribes: 7.50%
  • Physically Handicapped: 4%
  • Other Backward Classes (OBC) – 27%

Cutoff:

The qualifying marks for stage 1 and 2 is 40% and 32% respectively. Selection for the Stage 2 UP NTSE exam depends on the cut-off marks of the previous year.

Result:

After the examination, students wait for the result. The result for Stage 1 UP NTSE will release in February on the official website. The merit list will consist of students’ names and scores attained. After the selection, the students will appear in the Stage 2 exam commenced by NCERT.
