IBPS SO Exam Pattern & Syllabus: IBPS Specialist Officer (SO) is Conducted by IBPS (Institute Of Banking Service). IBPS SO Exam is conducted for recruiting candidates for the posts of IT Officer, Agricultural Field Officer, Rajbhasha Adhikari, Law Officer, HR/ Personnel Officer, and Marketing Officer in various Public Sector Banks. IBPS SO Exam Pattern:

The Exam for IBPS SO will be conducted in 3 stages: Prelims, Main Exam, and Interview round. The Preliminary exam is of qualifying nature. For the final selection, the marks of the mains exam and interview are added. It is very important to perform well in the mains exam as well as in an interview to get the final selection.

Preliminary Exam Pattern:

  • IBPS SO Prelim exam will be conducted through Online Mode.
  • The Exam will have 150 objective type questions.
  • The test paper will be available in both languages i.e, English, and Hindi.
  • The paper will consist of 3 sections- English Language, Reasoning, and Quantitative/ General Awareness. The 3rd section will depend on the post the candidates have applied for.
  • There will be a penalty for every incorrect answer. 0.25 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.

Exam Pattern for the post of law officer & Rajsabha Adhikari Scale-I officer:

Mains Exam Pattern:

  • The Mains Exam will contain questions only from Professional Knowledge Subjects.
  • For the Post of Law Officer, IT Officer, Agriculture  Field Officer, HR/Personnel Officer, and Marketing Officer it has Professional Knowledge Test there is 1 section having a total score of 60 marks of 45 minutes duration.
  • For the Post of Rajbhasha Adhikari, 2 sections are having a total score of 60 marks of 60 minutes duration the total time duration is 30 minutes for objective and 30 minutes for descriptive.
  • There will be a penalty for every incorrect answer. 0.25 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.

For the Post of Law Officer, IT Officer, Agriculture Field Officer, HR/Personnel Officer, and Marketing Officer:

Interview Process:

The final stage of the Exam will be Interview Process. Candidates who qualify the Mains Exam will be finally called for the Interview Process by IBPS. The Candidates must perform very well in the interview process to get the job in the IBPS SO Exam.
