It is one of India’s largest schools in Uttar Pradesh. It is governed by Banaras Hindu University or commonly known as BHU. The school is affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education better known as CBSE. Famous freedom fighter Annie Besant founded it in July 1898. CHS offers admission from 6th to 12th class. CHS Application Form 2022:

CHS Form 2022 will be available on the official website. The forms can be filled out online mode.

  • The application form must be filled out before the due date of submission.
  • If anyhow wrong or incorrect information is filled in the form it will lead to the cancelation of the form. So, the form must be filled with proper care.
  • The candidates can get the form only after they have fulfilled the registration online.
  • Students have to fill in all the details carefully along with passport-sized photographs and signatures.
  • Candidates are advised to take a photocopy of the application form.
  • After submitting the application fee they can apply for the same.

Application Fee:

Students need to submit the application fee after filling out the application form. Candidates must pay the fee as without that the form will not be accepted.

  • The application fee can be submitted through an online mode using net banking and other online wallet options.
  • But if candidates want to submit the fee offline, they can do so by paying the money in any HDFC bank.
  • In offline mode, fees can be paid by making a challan. It is advisable to take a printout of the challan.
  • Candidates need to fill in the necessary details to full fill the criteria of challan.
  • General candidates have to pay a total of Rs.400 as an application fee.
  • Candidates belonging to SC/ST category have to pay Rs.200 as an application fee.

Steps to fill CHS SET Application Form 2022:

  • Visit the official website of Banaras Hindu University (
  • Then click on the notification link regarding CHS Application Form.
  • After that click on the link and then read all the instructions as mentioned in the notification.
  • Then click on the “Apply Online” link.
  • Enter the correct Details.
  • Upload scanned signature and photo with the application.
  • Confirm the filled details before clicking on the submit button.
  • Pay the application fee through net banking and any other suitable medium.
  • After that, they can submit the Application form.
  • Take the printout of the Application Form for further use.

Central Hindu School 2022 Eligibility:

The candidates must fulfill the following eligibility criteria to take admission to the school.

  • For Class 6th: To get admission in grade 6th, candidates must have passed class 5th from a well-certified institution and must be in an age range of 10-12 years (by September 2022).
  • Class 9th: For Class 9th, students must be in an age range of 13-15 years (by September 2022) and have qualified class 8th examination from any certified education.
  • Class 11th: To take admission in class 11th, candidates must not be more than 18th years (by September 2022) of age and have passed the class 10th examination from any reputed university or school.

For external candidates:

  • Class VI and IX through E-lottery
  • Class XI on merit basis of class X Examination, details are as under:
    • 60% marks and above in class X marks or equivalent grade in aggregate for admission in Science Stream.
    • 50% marks and above or equivalent grade is essential in each, Maths and Science.
    • 55% and above in class X marks or equivalent grade in aggregate for commerce.
    • Class X passed for the Arts stream.


  • 15% of seats are reserved for Scheduled Caste candidates.
  • 7.5% of seats are reserved for Scheduled Tribe candidates.
  • 27 % of seats are reserved for Other Backward Classes (OBC-NCL).
  • 3% of seats are reserved for Physically Challenged (PH) candidates.
  • 50% of seats available for admission shall be provided to the sons and daughters of permanent employees of Banaras Hindu University.

Available Seats:

  • CHGS: Class VI – 90, IX – 11, XI Maths Stream– 17, XI Biology Stream – 16, XI Commerce Stream– 25, and XI Arts Stream – 40.
  • CHBS: Class VI – 90, IX –100, XI Maths Stream– 38+50*, XI Biology Stream– 25, XI Commerce Stream– 13, and XI Arts Stream– 12.

Note for class XI:

  • 50 seats are reserved for the Maths group only for external candidates except for the BHU Employee category through School Admission.
  • In CHBS there is also a provision of 05 seats in each section of class XI only based on merit after the cut-off list of merit in the Paid Seat Category as per BHU UET/PET norms. (Maths group- 20 seats, Biology group- 10 seats, Commerce group- 5 seats, Arts group- 5 seats)
  • However, the possibility of the number of seats for external candidates in both the schools in addition to the above will depend upon the availability of seats after the admission of internal candidates.

Exam Pattern:

  • The exam will be conducted through the Offline method.
  • The questions will be MCQ type, and candidates have to tick on the correct answer.
  • Applicants can only use Ball pens to answer the question paper.
  • Before answering the question paper candidates need to circle on the Question Booklet No, Roll Number, and Set No.
  • Any mistake in circling the Roll Number or putting the right set number will cause an erroneous assessment of the Answer Paper.
  • The selection of subjects will be based on merit i.e their performance in ‘SET’ and also will depend on the availability of seats for that particular stream.
  • For taking Maths (Science, Arts, Commerce), a candidate needs to score more than 50% marks or the same grade in Maths in the Class X examination.


  • For standard VI: The test will be based on the class V curriculum including 100 MCQ-type questions. Subjects for the test will be Hindi, English, Mathematics, General Science, and Social Science.
  • For Class IX: The test will be based on the class VIII curriculum including 100 MCQ-type questions. Subjects for the test will be Hindi, English, Mathematics, General Science, and Social Science.
  • For Class XI: The test will be based on the class X curriculum including 100 MCQ-type questions.

Admit Card:

Students can download their CHS Admission 2022 Admit Card or hall tickets from the official website. Only when the applicants have filled out the form and submitted it with the application fee before the due date, they can get the admit card. At the examination center, students must bring these cards to be eligible to sit for the examination. Hall ticket will include the candidate’s name, registration number, and other necessary details.
